Since starting our journey 16 years ago, when we began providing horse drawn services to Funeral Directors, we have been passionate about caring for families and their loved ones at their most vulnerable time.

We are there for you every step of the way, from the very first phone call, and will work with you to provide your loved one with a send off that is as unique as they are.

Lisa Wilde

Funeral & Company Director

Lisa started working in the funeral industry over 15 years ago when she opened her own horse drawn funeral services company. Regency Horse and Carriage Masters is a premier professional carriage service, working with Funeral Directors nationwide. Regency Funeral Directors are now immensely proud to be able to offer this in-house service to our families.


Starting Regency Funeral Directors was a logical step for Lisa and her family, and when she began working with a team with vast experience and qualifications, Lisa felt safe in the knowledge that Regency’s outstandingly high standards and professional, yet personal service would be something that would be guaranteed.

Eleanor Rose

Company Secretary & Funeral Arranger

Lisa’s daughter, Ellie, has been there from the very beginning. When Regency Horse & Carriage Masters was set up, she became a firm favourite with the Funeral Directors whilst driving our horses. Ellie took a short break to gain knowledge and qualifications in the Customer Experience and Sales industry and in that time learnt invaluable management, admin, and customer service skills. She has come back to Regency to utilise those skills with her existing caring and compassionate nature. Her attention to detail and organisation is an asset to the team.

Anthony Jones

Company Director

Anthony is Lisa’s father and being a Company Director of Regency Horse & Carriage Masters, it was a natural progression to give his support to Regency Funeral Directors making it a true family business. Anthony starting his working life in the tailoring trade has given him skills to last a lifetime. Any needlework requirements such as shrouds, curtains, and coffin pillows to make a loved one and their family more comfortable can be made by Anthony.

Abi Sambrook

Care Specialist

Abi comes from a varied medical background, being a qualified Paramedic with many years of experience. Abi is the primary carer of all loved ones that come into our care, making sure that they are looked after with dignity and respect. She is also a qualified Saddler, so she is often found in her workshop keeping our horses’ harnesses in perfect condition. Abi and Lisa have been friends for over 20 years and brought up their children together, Abi is an invaluable part of the Regency family.

Steven Wilde B.Sc., M.Sc. CMIOSH

Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor

Steve is an environmentalist as well as a full qualified Health and Safety professional, being a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, and the Environmental Manager for Whirlpool UK in his day job.



Steve brings over 30 years’ experience of managing EHS and helps to ensure that Regency maintains the highest level of legal compliance, including the almost daily changes to the Covid19 guidance from the Government during the pandemic.

Dean Wiles

Master Coachman

Dean has been driving horses for many years, his attention to detail is second to none. He runs a very tight and highly organised ship. Dean is also a fully trained professional carriage restorer and keeps all Regency’s horse drawn and motorised vehicles in resplendent order.



Dean has been recognised by the Royal Logistics Corps Coaching Club and every year he is requested to provide horses at such events as Royal Ascot, Royal Windsor, and The Magazine Meet at the Royal Mews in Buckingham Palace. These are all nationally prestigious events. We are honoured to have him and The Regency Horses as part of our team.

Benjamin Wilde

Funeral Operative

Lisa’s eldest son, Ben, is a strong part of the Regency team. Ben is a caring and compassionate young man who is always available to help everyone. He has a keen interest in Computer Technology and is currently studying an Undergraduate Degree in Computer Games Development & Design at The University of Bedfordshire. In his time between his studies, Ben helps with the preparation of Funerals, bringing loved ones into our care and assisting on Funerals.

Oliver Wilde

Funeral Operative

Lisa’s youngest son, Ollie, enjoys helping on Funerals and at home with the horses. Any heavy lifting and Ollie is our guy! Studying Uniform Services at The Cambridge Regional College, he has the hope to eventually pursue a career in the Fire Service as a Fire Fighter.
